Myshko and Lev are guys from the Ukrainian village, who serve on the Ukrainian Navy ship "Cherkasy", stationed in the port of the Crimean lake Donuzlav, during the events on the Maidan in 2014. While the crew of the minesweeper is training, president Yanukovych flees Ukraine, and the Crimea is invaded by infamous "green men". The occupation of the Crimea begins. Cherkasy, alongside with other ships of the Ukrainian fleet, is blocked in the lake – the way to the sea is blocked by flooded ships. Ukrainian ships surrender one by one, only the crew of Cherkasy resists and continues a brave, though hopeless, fight with the enemy.Timur Yashchenko is film director and screenwriter, born in the city of Cherkasy in Ukraine in 1985. In 2007-2009 he resided in Stockholm, where he studied film production at the Kulturama Art School. In 2016 he made his first professional short fiction film Lev (2016), which is a prologue to the film U311 Cherkasy (2019). U311 Cherkasy premiered at the Warsaw Film Festival 2019 in the "International Competition. Timur lives and works between Warsaw and Kyiv.
