Two Brussels cinemas unlike any others

In a style that blends the thirties with Art Déco and modernism, it has kept an intimate feel in stark contrast with contemporary giant multi-screen complexes. It also differs from other cinemas in its choice of films. It is also the only cinema where the job of ticket-seller, barman, usherette and projectionist are carried out by the same person: Pierre Guelette, the Movy-Club's manager. To go and watch a great classic in a traditional cinema theatre is to step back in time. Another cinema well worth the visit is Le Styx, which reopened on 25 th August after several months of refurbishment. The smallest cinema in Brussels now has all the modern equipment needed to provide the perfect conditions for showing its range of ""art and experimental"" films in one of its theatres, and more traditional celluloid productions ""well worth the visit"" in the other.
