Run & Bike for Life - BrusselsLife mobilizes for Viva for Life
19 Dec 2013 - 19 Dec 2013
Along with Cap 48, Viva for Life is a big end-of-the-year solidarity initiative by the RTBF (Belgian national radio) in support of children 0 to 3 years old living under the poverty line in Belgium. From Tuesday, December 17th to Monday, December 23rd, Viva for Life will alert thousands of people in Wallonia and Brussels to this problem. As part of this charity and awareness event, three radio hosts are locking themselves in a glass studio in Liege for 6 days and 6 nights.
Run & Bike for Life
The run and bike is a relatively little known sporting discipline that consists of switching between jogging and cycling. The teams regularly switch off along a defined course, the runner becoming the biker and the biker hitting the pavement! For this Run & Bike for Life event, the teams will be composed of three athletes who will share two bikes.
Brussels – Liege
On December 20th, we will leave the Viva studio in Brussels from which we speak to you every week; this day, we've got our eyes on Liege. The start will be at 5:45 am with the sound of the Saint Gudule bells. The arrival is expected about 12 hours later in the shadow of the Palais des Princes–Evêques. The participants include members of the BrusselsLife.be team, journalists from the RTBF and other sympathizers who have promised to give their all to stand up to this challenge.
Take on the challenge with us!
Help us succeed by donating to the cause. Each generous donation will be a great encouragement during our trek to Liege. (Account number: BE28 7320 3099 8120 - Communication: V2013-11 – Tax deductible for donations of at least 40€).
