The Offscreenings program presents a fine selection of special, new and unreleased films, giving a platform to independent, non-conformist filmmakers as well as to movies at the cutting edge of contemporary cinema. These films are noted for their artistic originality, unique vision and inventive approach to the medium and the genre. Come and see the cult films of tomorrow.
Offscreen take place at different locations in Brussels : the cinema Nova, Cinematek, cinema Rits and at the Bozar Cinema.

The program is out and is full to the max for the three weeks of offspring! The Offscreenings program presents 13 films. You will discover the cult films of tomorrow.
Offscreen take you on an expedition to the wonderful world of plants, mushrooms and related life forms with its Botanicals sections The Festival has managed to put together all of the cult classics featuring extraordinary, unusual and downright evil mutations that blur the classic distinction between flora and fauna.
A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting Existence
For the opening of the festival, "A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting Existence" will be played. It was directed by Roy Andersson. A kaleidoscopic, absurd tale of everyday and out-of-the-ordinary stories, portraying our human existence in its grandeur and pettiness, beauty and tragedy, exaggeration and sadness.
Tobe Hooper, honored guest
The festival will welcome Tobe Hooper, the master of horror movies. Director of one of the most legendary horror films ever made: “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”. This influential work has dominated his career
