The idea of Festival Musiq'3 is simple: close to 50 concerts on 7 stages at Flagey and at the Marni with more than 200 artists. All put together with a general theme that spans a variety of music : Freedom !
Freedom
Music and freedom have always maintained an intimate relationship. Music is certainly one of the last means to an uncorrupted and free speech when one faces intimidation through oppression and violence.
The line-up
The Festival explores this hidden strength of music by focusing on composers and interpreters who struggled – or are currently struggling – for their right to free speech. Among others : pianists Fazil Say, Claire Désert or David Kadouch, violinists Lorenzo Gatto, Shirly Laub or Philippe Graffin, cellists Gautier Capuçon, Marie Hallynck or Camille Thomas, and singers Sophie Karthäuser, Sumi Hwang or Jodie Devos.
