Bruegel imagined
01 Jan 1970 - 01 Jan 1970

‘Bruegel imagined’ takes the spectator on a journey of discovery through the enormous iconographical variety of Bruegel’s work, which consists of country fairs and peasant weddings, banquets and drinking bouts, proverbs and children’s games – among other things. As an artist, Bruegel is so complex that his work is impossible to describe in one or two catchwords. ‘Bruegel imagined’ allows the visitor to become acquainted with all the various aspects of Bruegel’s oeuvre – without imposing one particular interpretative vision.
