A year of fashion design at Saint-Luc, Tournai, before launching herself at 'La Cambre'and obtaining her diploma in visual arts with a specialization in the fashion creation, design and accessories.
"This young passionate who considers cloth as a means of artistic expression plays with the textiles, giving a spark of life to the created cloths.A creative stage under the supervision of Martin Margiela enables her to refine it's fashion vision.To prune and to retain only the essential, this is her approach line.Inspired by the everyday life, Jennifer Defays keeps the eyes opened over its contemporaries. The city and especially Brussels remain her main inspiring source. Its inhabitants, its decadency, its poverty, the underground world, but also art and in particular the contemporary painting, nourish her imagination.Today, her work is centred more on the research and experiences."
