Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn - World Premiere
For several years, Spielberg has planned to direct a movie based on the work of Hergé. However, it was really necessary to guarantee the Tintin graphic integrity. Thus, it was impossible to release a classic movie with real actors performing the comic's characters. So thanks to the performance capture 3D film, used by James Cameron in Avatar, the story could begin... It was so obvious to have the movie premiere here, in Brussels ! To host this big event and its public in the best possible way, La Place de Brouckère will be completely closed to traffic from noon to 4pm. Some big screens will be placed along the square to broadcast the celebrities walks. And since none of us is a celebrity, we'll have to wait a little bit more to discover the outstanding Secret of the Unicorn. The UGC cinemas (Toison d'Or & De Brouckère) & Kinepolis organize previews on Saturday the 22nd at 11.45 pm and on Sunday, more than 15. You can by your tickets now ! - 6/30 pm :Unveiling of the Tintin and Milou statue at the ComicsCafe, place du Grand Sablon, with the Brussels Mayor, Nat Neujan's author, Philippe Geluck as well as other secret guests.
Saturday 22 schedule
- from 11am to noon :A huge ancient cars parade from Tintin's strips will parade downtown Brussels (Place des Palais, Sablon, Grand place, Bourse, Brouckère). - from noon to 1pm : An aerobatics show performed by Les Passagers company, on the 300 square meters Tintin fresco in front of the Continental building (Coca Cola) at Place de Brouckère. - from 1pm to 2.15pm : Celebrities, like Steven Spielberg, arrival on the red carpet installed in front of the UGC de Brouckère cinema. - From 5pm : Public sneak preview in these cinemas Kinépolis, UGC De Brouckère et UGC Toison d'Or
