The Plasticarium collection moves to the Atomium
Until recently, the Plasticarium was located in the center of Brussels, at 35 rue du Locquenghien. The very colorful collection by Philippe Decelle spread out over 3 floors of the house. This area was entirely devoted to plastic objects: art, furniture, electric kitchen appliances, etc. from the 1960's till now.
Plasticarium. Art & Design Atomium Museum

You will however have to wait a bit more before discovering this new project. The opening is planned for the end of 2015. Half the area will be devoted to the collection of Philippe Decelle, while the other half will welcome other permanent and temporary exhibitions dedicated to the art and design of the 20th Century.

In the meantime…
While we wait for the official opening, a part of the Plasticarium collection is visible as part of a temporary exhibition at the Atomium until May 2015.
"Orange Dreams. Plastic if fantastic (1960-1973)" takes the visitors back to the plastic Golden Sixties. The exhibition shows the most original aspects of plastic design. From the daily object to the work of art, the color orange is present in every piece...
