A good work-out on classical music ? On Sunday the 10th of May you can give it a try at Sporza Musica, in the Parc de Laeken !
With the second edition of this unique sports and music experience, Festival Van Vlaanderen Brussel offers another wide range of activities for the whole family. Young, old, big, small, sportsman, music lover,...: in the shade of the Atomium, everyone can compose his/her personal programme.
Programme
Park Concerts: a fairy-like walk through the park, seeking hidden music and musicians behind bushes and trees... Sky Watch: on a floating platform, small groups of people rise up to 50 meters into the sky, to enjoy a mini-concert with a breathtaking view on the Atomium and its surroundings. Spinning, tai-chi, capoeira and yoga: all for you to try out on live classical music! Pop vs Classic: a soccer game between classical and pop musicians. Come and cheer on the “Pop’s” or the “Classic’s” while the dj adapts his music to the team that has ball possession! Mozart en Beethoven will be on the field as well; but don’t you think they look a lot like those two top players from RSC Anderlecht ? Death Ride: fearless music lovers dive into the unknown depths, with percussion instruments attached to their feet! Children’s programme: children especially enjoy to seek for hidden musicians in the park and love the SkyWatch. But they wouldn’t want to miss the giant drums either, nor the opportunity to accompany their parents during their first capoeira session... Bataclan and Babelut organise permanent activities for the very smallest visitors of Sporza Musica.Closing act & drink
Dulsori, a South Korean drumming group, will close this edition of Sporza Musica. Their giant drums in the unique open-air scenery of the “Théâtre de Verdure” will leave the audience with an overwhelming, unforgettable experience for both eyes and ears.
