SIOEN confirms his status as purveyor to the Royal Household of 'the better song' with 'A Potion', the outstanding new CD from one of our very best singer-songwriters. He proved that recently with the singles 'No Conspiracy At All' and 'Ready For Your Love' but also with a long list of unforgettable tunes from his previous 2 albums.
In the meantime this great guy from Gent (who in that city was also the driving force behind the 0110 concert) is sitting pretty with record company Universal - providing him with an official release of 'A Potion' in neighbouring countries Nederland, Germany and France. Musically Sioen has grown enormously: the vocals sound mature and he writes texts and associated arrangements with a sharp, sometimes ink-black pen. In the AB again this fall, superbly accompanied by Jeroen Baert (violin), Laurens Smagghe (drums), Sjang Coenen (bass) and star guitarist Fritz Sundermann.
