Continuing to be true to itself, the International Brigittines Festival pursues its exploration of new stage languages and contemporary forms.
The theme for the 2008 edition of the Festival is "Secret Abysses" and is made up of nine performances and two lectures highlighting the theme. This time around, the aim is to emphasise some of the essential, but sometimes hidden aspects of creation: the risk-taking dimension, the need to reformulate a view of the world based on criteria that may be far from realism, the faculty to build universes that carve open breaches in our imagination and sensitivity. The Festival provides an opportunity to see and appreciate some highly unusual characters. CP
