Saint Job :: Eat well!
Although Place Saint Job is not connected to the underground railway network, trains stop there, as will the future RER, a taxi fare is not exorbitant, and there is also a bus service. There remains the car, and it must be admitted that this provides the best way of getting to this lovely little part of the capital. "It's great that you can park there, but where is it?" , you'll be asking me. Well there's nothing simpler: the square is nestling in the hollow between the European School and Fort Jaco in Uccle.

Fleas and markets
For 20 years, every Monday has meant market on Place Saint Job. Between 08:00 and 13:00, the fruit and veg, meat and fish stands offer their wares to food lovers while other customers busy themselves with fabrics and jewellery. For some time, each first Sunday of the month has seen the square transformed into a jumble sale. Where you can hunt around for antiques before engulfing yourself in one of the many eateries that will surely have caught your eye. Beside its undeniable assets, Saint Job is also a charming residential area in the immediate vicinity of the Forêt de Soignes. Beside this enormous green lung, there are also two green areas that deserve a detour for a digestive walk or for one to awaken your appetite: Plateau Avijl and Kauwberg. These last two natural gems will finally convince you that, in Saint Job, you're already almost out of the city - and yet the centre is so close...Frédéric Solvel
