Leif Ove Andsnes performs two works for piano and orchestra by Beethoven with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, in the first stage of a series of concerts by the Norwegian musician, as both pianist and conductor, devoted to the complete Beethoven concertos.
The project, worthy of this great artist's talent, sees him touring for three years with the orchestra. Each of the three series of concerts will include works by Stravinsky, another key figure in the pianist's personal hall of fame.
