James Blake is currently raising eyebrows with his version of Feist's "Limit To Your Love". Rightly so too. But those who take another listen to "Twice" from Sweden's Little Dragon will get just as many goosebumps.
That fantastic song is to be found on the untitled debut (2007) with which they visited the AB as opener for José Gonzàlez. Three years and 1 album later ("Machine Dreams" from 2009) this electronica-pop-outfit centred around Swedish-Japanese singer Yukimi Nagano has toured the world as part of the Gorillaz "Escape To Plastic Beach" tour. Logical really, as Nagano and her Little Dragon companions Fredrik Källgren Wallin and Håkan Wirenstrand co-wrote the Gorillaz tracks "Empire Ants" and "To Binge". This spring Little Dragon will release a third studio album and we're just as curious as you are about the result. A first live inspection in the ABClub on Sunday 15 May.
