Boasting a unique collection of Chinese funerary furniture, the Museum of Henan in Zhengzhou will, for the first time, allow a hundred or so pieces spread out over a period stretching from the 2nd century BC until the 17th century AD to leave the country. The public will be able to admire, in Brussels, these small-scale models of houses, summerhouses, towers, theatres and Buddhist temples… representing the surroundings and status enjoyed by the deceased person in his lifetime. A wonderful collection and a first in the West.
