Christmas is coming! The illuminations are up in the streets, the fragrances of mulled wine are pervading certain shops, and already, the first Christmas markets. The American Women's Club of Brussels has chosen St John's International School as the setting for its market, on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 and 19.
Dozens of stands will be installed: Christmas items, children's items, craftsmanship items, interior decoration items, jewellery, clocks, photographs, and so on and so forth. Not forgetting the stands where you can have a bite to eat and a glass of something or other. There is more than one market, so visitors will have a great opportunity to spend a moment with friends, and to make new ones! The profits of the operation will be used for the daily workings of the "American Women' s Club of Brussels" association.
However, charity action itself will not be overlooked, since parallel to the market, a giant tombola will be organised, the profits of which will be completely earmarked for the associations that the club supports throughout the year. Prizes include: travel, jewellery, culinary courses in a prestigious French restaurant, and much more besides. The proceeds of the Charity tombola go to local charities
