Fanny Bériaux signs with "Blow Up my World" a first tinted coloured album of freshness and resolutely pop and jazz notes. This young Brussels' artist has been working on it for 3 years.
Fanny has had a traditional education, and after a first price in musical theory at the Royal Academy of Liege, she obtained a first price in jazz at the Royal Academy of Brussels. But her universe is broad: among her influences you can find Alice Russell, Madeleine Peyroux, Erykah Badu, Fiona Apple, Rita Hayworth, Melody Gardot, etc...
It is a meeting with Jarek Frankowski, producer and sound engineer, which opened her new doors. He already collaborated on the production of several studio recordings (Jean-Louis Rassinfosse, Philip Catherine, Zoe, Stéphanie Blanchoud) as on various film musics (Jaco Van Dormael, Arnaud Demunynck, Marian Handwerker) and on dance projects (Flemish Frederic, Michele Noiret). Together, they decide to create this first opus.
The album
Sung in English, "Blow Up my World" reveals 15 original titles which take us along in a cordial universe, a little crazy, full of young girls in love, insane cats and indigenous shamans. An original artist and an attaching personality who must absolutely been discover in concert. Indeed, on scene, Fanny becomes a vamp, a schizophrene or a nostalgic woman. She will be at the Marni Theatre in Brussels on 14th November to present this new album. And she will blow up your world!Did you like this article?
