Death Cab For Cutie @ AB
They've also previously released several albums on the Barsuk label (which also houses other quality products like Nada Surf and Rilo Kiley) amongst which the 2003 release, and mildly fantastic, 'Transatlanticism'. 'Un onguent réparateur qui s'appliquera sur le coeur de tous les rêveurs solitaires' wrote Voxer at the time.
Singer/guitarist Ben Gibbard is by the way more or less AB family: his side-project with DNtel - The Postal Service - has already been welcomed in the ABClub in the past and Death Cab For Cutie have also been here before with precursor 'Atlanticism'. On each occasion Gibbard also delivered a number of vocal performances for the benefit of Styrofoam's most recent album 'Nothing's Lost', an album that Styrofoam made in assignment to the AB.
Trivia section: The band owes its name to a song from the English group, The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band who were popular in the '60's. DCFC's latest single 'Crooked Teeth' will be released early in 2006
