Chouconut: cabbages, cookies and donuts for all tastes
The concept
After being trained all over the world, it's only a few meters from the square in Saint-Gilles that Baptiste Mandon and Giovanni Malecotles, two Breton chefs, opened Chouconut, a cozy and unique tea room. Brussels.
Since 2015, the two chefs have chosen to focus their pastry on cabbages, cookies and donuts, while using seasonal products and quality raw materials.
From pastries to lunch, there's something for everyone
Among the cabbages, many tastes are proposed, such as lemon, strawberry bergamot, Madagascar chocolate, green tea matcha, gingerbread, ... and the list is still long! In addition, cabbages and their appearances also evolve according to the holidays and the seasons. If you opt for a cookie, you can choose a classic taste or take the opportunity to test a caramelized hazelnut, gianduja and lemon cookie. Finally, if you prefer a donut, there are also many flavors, from the most original to the most exotic, such as raspberry and ginger. A real treat for both the eyes and the taste buds!
In addition to their three specialties, Chouconut offers other products such as toffees, shortbreads, homemade jams and spreads.
Lunch during the week, lunches to consume on the spot or takeaway are available between 11:30 and 14:00.
A birthday, a wedding, a seminar or a vernissage in sight? The chefs also offer cakes and mounted pieces with cabbages. On the Chouconut website, you will find all the information you need to place an order.
