After the hail and snow, «Place au Printemps !» is going to brighten Brussels. From the beginning of March to end May, this event devoted to reclaiming public areas, encourages citizens to come out of their homes.
Through walking tours, shows and «street» culture events, Brussels reveals its personality, encouraging the public to (re)discover every nook and cranny in the city. Cultural, entertaining and sports events abound. When it comes to walking tours, «Ca vaut le détour» offers a very unusual route. Equipped with an mp3 player, the hiker walks to a precise destination by listening to sounds, songs, and special effects noises that guide his steps through the streets and neighbourhoods. The shows contained in «Place au Printemps» take part either indoors or outdoors, and vary from a musical, to a pyrotechnic piece of entertainment. This year, «Street» culture is also on offer and sets about eradicating prejudice by presenting urban art in a new manner.
