Brussels Cycling Classic
The route
The course starts off from the Cinquantenaire at 11:45 sharp. The participants will take over the Saint-Michel boulevards, Louis Schmidt & Général Jacques under the control of the course director’s car that will leave the runners at the Bois de la Cambre.
Next, they will quickly leave the Brussels region to take a tour around the rolling Brabant roads. Before returning to the capital, the group will linger around the local Neerijse and Huldenberg areas. The little hills in this region which shaped the reputation of the Brabant Arrow race should be the first determiner, if not the determiner, of the race.
There are still 20 kilometers left on long, wide and straight roads before the finish line- roads that risk discouraging cyclists of all kinds. After 200 kilometers, the pack will make their way back to Brussels. Direction towards the Heysel plateau on the big boulevards. The finish at the feet of the Atomium is expected between 4:30 and 5 pm, depending on the speed of the cyclists.
