Brucity arrives at Parking 58

It is a colossal project that has just been attributed: the City of Brussels has entrusted the construction of its new administrative centre to AG Real Estate.
Brucity
After more than 40 years at number 6 Boulevard Anspach, the Brussels administration will relocate to the site that is currently occupied by Parking 58, behind Place De Brouckère, just a few steps from Sainte-Catherine. Brucity - the name of this mammoth project - will cover a surface of more than 37 thousand square metres and rise to 9 floors. When finished, 1500 people will work there on a daily basis.
Planning
Planning permission has been submitted. The first work of site preparation should start at the beginning of next year before several phases of demolition and clean-up planned for September 2017. The construction itself will not begin before the spring of 2018. The doors of the new administrative centre are expected to open in 2021.
