A never-ending selection of shops
"Toison d'Or is a selection of more ""affordable"" boutiques, and also restaurants, quaint bistros and a vast cinema complex in two parts, known collectively as UGC, after the French cinema giant. The former Capitole cinema is along the avenue, whereas the former Acropole (with its perfectly preserved main theatre), is in the Galerie de la Toison d'Or. The gallery has two entrances on the avenue, and a third on the Chaussée d'Ixelles. It is only one part of the immense shopping area that continues opposite down the Rue de Namur, and towards Saint-Gilles with the other main shopping centre called Espace Louise, which leads to the Avenue Louise, where you will find the major jewellers, such as Cartier and Holemans."
