With his "Drawings of the Day", Alain Simon has been developing a reflection on the role and meaning of drawing in everyday life since April 1997.
Each week is an opportunity for a drawing experiment that unfolds itself following an unchanging process: a sheet of paper divided in 7 parts - one for each day of the week. Beginning on Monday, the artist's intention develops itself as the week passes, becoming more precise, changing until it finds its balance… and its title - on Sunday. Simultaneously to the Alain Simon exhibition, the Artshop next to the gallery will open its doors for the first time.
